RAISE DOPAMINE WITH EXERCISE

Dopamine is a chemical made in the brain. It is released when we do something or experience something that feels rewarding and pleasurable.

Dopamine makes us feel happy, motivated, enthusiastic, pleased, achieved, focussed, alert and at times euphoric. One of the quickest ways to increase dopamine is with exercise.

The increase in blood flow also brings with it an increase in oxygen and nutrients. Over time with consistent practise of movement and positive thought, baseline levels of dopamine can rise.

When drive and motivation feel like they’re flowing more frequently and easily, we have raised our dopamine to a good baseline. With this comes improved sleep which further improves our ability to be positive and productive.

When you’re feeling sluggish and struggling to function efficiently, get outside and move.
